Today, as best I could decipher, the buses, metro and trains were going to have a 4 hour shut-down between 08:30 and 12:30. That was okay, we planned to walk down to the Colosseum and Forum for a wander around. The strike did not seem to happen, as there were buses running all morning as far as I could see. We didn't head down to the Colosseum either as Bill has come down with a head cold and is feeling kind of lousy.
So we just spent a quiet day inside.
A little trip to the local pharmacy will hopefully put him back onto a healthy track again before his cold gets worse.
The weather continues to be unseasonably warm, with today reaching 19 degrees by 2pm. There has been no rain since we arrived. The nights do get a bit nippy, going down to about 4 degrees.
